Queries from EU operators
The primary responsibility for the implementation of EU sanctions rests with the Member States. Therefore, EU operators looking for guidance on specific issues should first and foremost reach out to their national competent authority.
The document below provides contact details in all Member States.

Due diligence by EU SMEs
EU small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) performing sanctions due diligence checks can receive personalised support through the EU Sanctions Helpdesk.
Sanctions violations
Sharing information about EU sanctions violations can contribute to the success of investigations in EU Member States and make EU sanctions more effective.
Anyone who is aware of possible violations of EU sanctions can bring this to the Commission’s attention – anonymously – through the EU Sanctions Whistleblower Tool. The Commission will assess the information and, if credible and well-documented, will refer it to the relevant Member State(s) along with its legal interpretation.
General questions on EU sanctions
Anyone who has general questions about the way EU sanctions work can address them to the Europe Direct Contact Point.
Queries from outside the EU
Non-EU authorities and operators having difficulty interpreting EU sanctions can reach out directly to the Commission at ec-sanctions-international
