COP 25 joint high-level event - European Commission, Spanish Government and European Investment Bank: “Financing the Paris Agreement: how to mobilise private investors?”

To make a successful transformation to a greener, more sustainable planet, the use of our public budgets is crucial but will not be enough. We need to mobilise private investors and capital markets through supportive frameworks to make sustainable investments happen.

The global nature of financial markets has the great potential to link local financing needs to global sources of funding offer and therefore to help countries make the transition to a greener economy. This event will discuss how to unlock this great untapped potential and to build coherent frameworks across countries and jurisdictions.
