Biography

Alessia Bausano graduated in law from La Sapienza University of Rome in 1998, has worked in Confindustria since 2001.

She developed skills on associative legislation, also following the statutory reform projects of Confindustria, in the Associative System and Organs Secretariat Area. Among other things, she has dealt with the regulation of non-recognised associations for the solution of associative questions, as well as the issue of legality by representing Confindustria, in implementation of a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of the Interior, in the Legality Commission at the Ministry itself.

Since 2018, in the Legislative and Regional Affairs Business Law Area, has continued to master legality issues, following the renewal of the Legality Protocol with the Ministry of the Interior, with a focus on the discipline of the Anti-Mafia Code and the legality rating.

She also deals whit the analysis of Italian and European legislation on civil justice and corporate sustainability reporting.

In particular, for definition of Confindustria positions in the consultation on ESRS, she oversaw the discussion with the offices of Business Europe, together with colleagues from the Brussels delegation, also acting as an internal liaison of the areas specialised in social, environmental and credit and finance issues.

Still on sustainability and ESG factors, she delved into some elements related to Governance. Since 2019 she has been dealing with the Whistleblowing discipline at national and European level. She followed the transposition phase of EU Directive 2019/1937 “ on the protection of persons reporting on breaches of union law " into Legislative Decree no. 24 of 10 March 2023.
