Forum on protecting and facilitating investment in the single market

The European Commission (Directorate General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union - DG FISMA) is organising a forum to discuss the regulatory framework protecting and facilitating investment in the EU with stakeholders and Member States. The event will take place in a hybrid format and only registered participants will be able to attend.

The main objectives of the 2022 forum are

1. presentation of the policy approach and a toolbox of possible targeted measures on investment protection and facilitation by Commissioner McGuinness
2. discussing how to ensure effective implementation of the measures, including optimising feedback channels and follow-up mechanisms to deal with investment protection issues of single market concern

The forum will bring together all stakeholders and encourage exchanges of views in a roundtable format. The participants will include companies and investor associations from various sectors, legal practitioners, academics, civil society organisations, Member States authorities as well as Commission officials.

Please note that places in the room are limited. When confirming places for participation in person Commission services will aim to ensure a balanced representation of various stakeholder groups (e.g. Member States, investors, civil society organisations, legal professionals, academics), organisations and the widest possible geographic coverage of EU Member States.
