Commission Decision of 26 September 2024 on the financing of the implementation of the pilot project for a “Comparative study onbest practices for a stronger EU sanction enforcement” and the adoption of the work programme for 2024.

The European Union’s annual budget for the financial year 2024, included a provision of EUR 500 000 for the implementation of a pilot project intended to examine the function of the existing configurations of sanction enforcement bodies within each Member State so as to identify similarities, disparities, best practices and missing elements across all the jurisdictions of the Union and to assess to what extent having a centralised sanction implementation body would benefit Union sanction implementation, as compared to a network of scattered national bodies. Commission Decision C(2024)6656 and the annex thereto act as the necessary financing Decision and work programme for the implementation of this pilot project”.
