Commission measures to address the risks related to NPLs

In March 2018, the European Commission presented a package of measures to address the risks related to high levels of NPLs in Europe. The package includes a proposal for a directive on credit servicers, credit purchasers and the recovery of collateral, a proposal for a regulation amending the capital requirements regulation and a blueprint on the set-up of national asset management companies (AMCs).
