Report on the impact of certain provisions of the CRA regulation

In line with Articles 39(4), 39(5), 39b(1) and 39b(2) 2nd paragraph of the credit rating agencies (CRA) regulation, the European Commission adopted a report taking stock of the current situation in the credit rating market and assessing the impact and effectiveness of a range of key provisions of the CRA regulation including on 

• reducing over-reliance on credit ratings (including by assessing potential alternatives to external credit ratings)
• good governance of credit rating activities (in particular by the prevention of conflict of interests and the use of alternative remuneration models)
• competition in the credit rating industry
