Description
In line with Articles 39(4), 39(5), 39b(1) and 39b(2) 2nd paragraph of the credit rating agencies (CRA) regulation, the European Commission adopted a report taking stock of the current situation in the credit rating market and assessing the impact and effectiveness of a range of key provisions of the CRA regulation including on
- reducing over-reliance on credit ratings (including by assessing potential alternatives to external credit ratings)
- good governance of credit rating activities (in particular by the prevention of conflict of interests and the use of alternative remuneration models)
- competition in the credit rating industry
